The Alarm Detection Panel will monitor up to eight pieces of equipment that provide a contact closure.
An example would be to connect the Alarm Detection Panel to the Informer Network Control Modem (NCM), which is housed in its rack in an equipment room. When circuit continuity monitored by the NCM is broken, the NCM will send a signal to the Alarm Detection Panel. The Alarm Detection Panel will illuminate a red LED above the nameplate telling PSAP personnel that circuit continuity has been broken. Also, the green LED below the nameplate will extinguish and an audible alarm will sound.
